It’s no secret that people love taking pictures and sharing them on social media. Although my social followings are nothing short of insignificant, I too occasionally publish snippets of my personal life and artistic prowess… or lack thereof.
A recent trip to the Saint Paul Conservatory — which is celebrating its 100th year — provided the perfect opportunity to snap some fun shots with my GoPro – extreme, I know – and then let the a world know via Instagram that I had made the Saint Paul pilgrimage. Before going public with my riveting shots, I made a few edits — naturally. Although one can dramatically alter photos within Instagram itself, many go a step further using third-party editing applications. I am one of the many, and my weapon of choice is Pixlr.
I made a quick tutorial to demonstrate Pixlr’s ease of use and breadth of options. Later I found that an official, and much better, video already exists. Oh well. Here’s mine:
