Marvin is a Minnesota-based manufacturer of premium windows and patio doors. A family-owned and operated company, Marvin is known for innovation, excellence, integrity and community-mindedness. The company gained national attention for not laying off any workers during the recent economic downturn and was honored with a 2013 Family Business Award from Twin Cities Business magazine.

Marvin is looking for a public relations manager to handle a variety of duties for its three window lines: Marvin, Integrity and Infinity. The successful applicant will position the Marvin companies as leaders in the building industry and work to secure positive coverage in traditional and social media, establishing Marvin as the first place that trade and consumer media and social media experts come to seek industry-leading opinions and input.

Additional duties include social media strategy and content development; strategic and tactical communications planning; corporate communications; and handling planning and communications for a number of regional and national trade shows each year.

The qualifications sought for this position include:  a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or public relations; a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in marketing and/or public relations; excellent verbal and written communication skills; the capability to meet deadlines and budget requirements; and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects.
