Last year, we shared a post on the Peepshow about SweeTango, an exciting new apple we’re helping Next Big Thing, A Growers’ Cooperative launch. The apple has been years in the making. In fact, the SweeTango trees need one more year before they are able to produce enough fruit to have strong national distribution.

However, a few lucky apple lovers may be able to sink their teeth into SweeTango – a cross between the popular HoneyCrisp and the Zestar – sometime next month at select retailers and a few farmers markets. Watch for information in coming weeks regarding its availability.
