Last coolish post we had some cool finds of advertisement, design and bathtub/shower devices. This week we have some cool blog finds … I know that hundreds of thousands of new blogs appear on the Internet each day, so I want to point out some that I have been obsessed with lately:
Tiny 13 year old dork that sits inside all day wearing awkward jackets and pretty hats. Scatters black petals on Rei Kawakubo’s doorsteps and serenades her in rap. She has nowhere near 4 million readers. Rather cynical and cute as a drained rat. In a sewer. Farting. And spitting out guts.
Another fun fashion blog, Style Arena has been a fashion information page with the theme of “Tokyo Street Fashion” since June of 2002. Designed and administered by the Japan Fashion Association, their goal is to spread and share Japan’s dynamic fashion=culture and life view to Asia and the rest of the world.
One year later. Geotypografika is primarily intended as an open-source way to exchange, share, and discuss information related to visual communication with my students, both past and present. The content is primarily concerned with issues of globalization that affect and drive the complexities of global visual communication systems, und Wissenschaft (and science, yo).
Shift Blog shares the hippest news of people, happening, things, places, green and projects from Japan to the world and vice versa. Covering the topic on cultural information such as art, fashion, music and multimedia. Published by Taketo Oguchi.
Hope you enjoyed this week’s coolish finds — stay tuned for more on Oct 23.
