Professional Strengths/Skills: I’m scrappy, resourceful, and know how to get things done. My goal-oriented and results driven mindset keeps the important question, “So what?” at the forefront of everything I do. I bring that mentality to all of my work in digital and traditional media spaces.

Path to Fast Horse: Practically learning to read from the scrolling text of early NES games like Zelda and Castlevania, I’ve forever been a lover of interactive media. Lucky for me, I’ve had the opportunity to capitalize on this passion for good stories and new media. Right out of college, I co-founded the literary arts magazine and publishing house, Paper Darts, which has won awards like “Smartest Website” by Mpls. St. Paul Magazine and been featured in over a dozen local and national publications. This work set the backdrop for me to launch a mission-driven career and over the last three years I’ve developed a strong understanding of nonprofit communities having worked for organizations like the Charities Review Council and the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, learning the ins and outs of digital media strategies along the way. My understanding of what makes great content and a passion for cause-oriented organizations brought me to Fast Horse and I’m loving every second of it.

Community Involvement: With a strong belief in the importance behind developing the future leaders of the nonprofit sector, I’m proud to serve on the board of directors for the Twin Cities chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. I often spend my nights and weekends building capacity for the literary arts through my role as a volunteer executive director and co-founder of Paper Darts, which has published over 400 artists, writers, and musicians. In conjunction to this work, I volunteer as editor-in-chief of Pollen, Minnesota’s leading professional community for civic-minded business connectors.

My Hometown (And Best Thing About It): Flower Mound, Texas. The donuts. Don’t get me started on the donuts.

I’m Famous For: My love for donuts and being from Texas (see above).

Very Few People Know That I: Started my first little business in 4th grade selling pencils wrapped in colored thread to other students at recess. I had a full setup with three employees. Right as I was gearing up sales for Mother’s Day, a teacher shut my whole operation down.
