Street Marketing

We take to the streets to help clients engage target consumers where the live, work and play. That means coordinating street teams at locations ranging from festivals, fairgrounds, sporting events and construction sites all the way to Times Square. We start by understanding the audience. Then we create customized, meaningful interactions that communicate key messages and drive consumers to take action — all on brand and on budget.

Crews Catch People Being Healthy

Our “do” Crews roamed the streets looking for people doing healthful everyday activities, generating attention and goodwill for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota “do” campaign. The street marketing effort extended the campaign’s reach, personalizing the program and creating opportunities for media outreach and advertising. | “do” Campaign Case Study

Ice Scraper Giveaway

It’s one thing to tell potential customers you’re different. It’s another thing to show them. Excelsior & Grand promised urban living in a suburban setting — with some luxury amenities like underground parking. We helped the developer promote that difference in a creative way, by distributing Excelsior & Grand-branded ice scrapers to owners of snow-covered cars during the first snow-emergency day during a Minneapolis winter. The grassroots effort boosted traffic to Excelsior & Grand’s website by 25 percent. Now that’s truly street marketing!

Expedition 206 In Times Square

The Expedition 206 traveling team took part in special events all over the world — including a six-story-tall event right here in the United States. During the team’s visit to New York City, Fast Horse helped Coke make its iconic Times Square billboard interactive — a first for the giant video display. A street team armed with a mobile devices snapped photos of passersby, asked what makes them happy, and beamed their names and photos to the Coke billboard within seconds. Photo submissions were also collected via Twitter and on Coke’s Facebook page. | Expedition 206 Case Study

Insight Schools

To announce the arrival of Minnesota’s newest high school and create buzz around the growing trend of online learning, Fast Horse created a guerrilla-marketing concept to reach target audiences statewide — all in one location. At the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament, a team of on-the-street ambassadors gave away branded “Hanson Brothers glasses” that hockey fans know and love from the Holy Grail of hockey films, “Slap Shot.” The end result allowed Insight School of Minnesota to interact with thousands of Minnesotans, successfully distributing all 10,000 pairs of glasses. In addition, a photo of two hockey fans wearing the glasses appeared on the front page of the Star Tribune the following day. | Insight Schools Case Study

We hit the streets of Asheville, N.C., in search of the blue-collar guys who might be in the market for the kinds of things Northern Tool sells. At construction sites and other job sites all over town, our street team offered vouchers for a free premium and store opening details. The result?
